Fire Commissioner Openings
This year, Inman Community Fire Department has two commissioner slot vacancies open for election. The seats that are available last from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025. Applications will be accepted through October 31, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The final vote for the position will be held on November 4, 2022. If interested, call the Inman Community Fire Department Headquarters station during business hours or visit the Headquarters station at 150 Windmill Hill Rd. during business hours in order to get additional information and an application.
Requirements
In order to take on the role of Commissioner at Inman Community Fire Department, certain requirements must be met prior to accepting the position.
Residency
A Fire Commissioner must live within the Inman Community Fire district.
Time Willingness
A Fire Commissioner must be willing to join monthly business meetings, partake in emergency commissioner meetings when necessary, and work on role specific duties depending on the assigned commissioner role. This role lasts for 2 years, which is a great time committment.
